Orange Ginger Glazed Cookies

Thanks to Nestle Toll House for sponsoring today’s discussion about saving time during the holiday season without missing out on the traditions. Keep reading to get the recipe for my delicious, easy, orange ginger cookies!

Orange Ginger Cookies
Working in retail during the holiday season means that my schedule is pretty busy from the first mention of turkey till the ticker tape is cleaned up on New Year’s Eve. Josh and I have our tree up and the inside of the house decorated, but I just haven’t had the motivation to do much else.

Yes, I still have pumpkins and hay bales sitting on my front lawn. Can’t I just put up a reindeer and call it a day?

One of the other traditions I’ve slacked on that I usually love is baking. My mom and younger sister had a cookie baking day already, so I either had to beg for whatever they had left, or make my own. Thankfully, I had the chance to try out Nestle Toll House Rolled and Ready Cookie Dough . . . which made the latter of the two options a super quick and easy solution.

These cookie dough sheets are freakin’ awesome . . . especially if you want cookies in a hurry without your kitchen looking like a natural disaster took place in it. They’re literally ready to go as soon as you open the package. You just grab your cookie cutters, preheat your oven, and wait 12 minutes for them to bake. Easy. Peasy.

Or, if you don’t feel like digging through your kitchen drawers for cookie cutters (guilty), each sheet cut into 8 pieces makes cute little bars that almost look like mini breakfast pastries.

While the cookies were baking, I put together a quick icing to glaze the tops using confectioner’s sugar, an orange, cinnamon, and ginger. The fresh orange zest and warm spices just makes the cookies CRAZY good.
