It also allows them to keep up with the status of each player’s hand without having to ask customers to repeat their wagers. Additionally, a dealer’s knowledge of the numerical aspects of blackjack allows them to communicate the status of the game immediately.
A blackjack dealer’s primary responsibilities are to distribute the cards, deal each player two cards, and then compare the players’ hands with the dealer’s. If a player’s hand is higher than the dealer’s, they win their bet and receive their original stake back from the casino. Otherwise, the player must continue to play until they reach a winning hand.
